ALRESFORD'S household recycling centre has reopened after a bomb scare.
Police closed the Prospect Road site at 11am on Thursday after staff found what a suspected mortar bomb in the household waste skip.
But the centre reopened three hours later after a bomb disposal unit identified the item as an obsolete rifle grenade and said that it was not dangerous.
