FOUR men have today appeared in court in connection with the death of a Hampshire father.
Peter Lawrence of Clarendon Road, Titchfield Common, died on January 5 after a night out with friends at the Lloyds No 1 bar in Port Solent.
Today Michael Dawson, 25, of Somerset Avenue, Southampton, Nigel Harding, 45, of Rowner Close, Gosport, Leonard Ogilvie, 48, of Church Road, Portsmouth and David Shaw, 22, of Phillimore Road, Southampton, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
All four are charged with 37-year-old Mr Lawrence's manslaughter.
They spoke only to confirm their names and addresses and the case was committed to Winchester Crown Court.
The defendants were bailed to appear there on April 25.
