The Earl of March this week unveiled his plans for motor sport at Goodwood, this year celebrating its own circuit's 60th anniversary where Stirling Moss scored his first race victory the same year.
An exciting Festival of Speed in the grounds of the stately home on July 11-13 will be on the theme of Hawthorn to Hamilton, celebrating the best of British talent in engineering as well as driving, with hopes that young hero Lewis Hamilton will repeat his popular appearance last year.
But as usual there will be other attractions, including a display of James Bond film cars in the Cartier Style et Luxe paddock, marking the centenary of author Ian Fleming's birth.
On the track - the earl's front drive - the action will feature at least seven current F1 teams, Superbike teams and the top Le Mans cars, while several WRC teams will blast up dust on the hilltop rally stage where radio presenter Chris Evans this week enjoyed a spin.
