THEY have three small wheels, can travel at a top speed of 35mph and are being prepared to travel thousands of miles across rough terrain in India.
Teams of rickshaw riders descended on Southampton's Mayflower Park to meet up ahead of a gruelling charity expedition this summer.
The Rickshaw Run has become a popular challenge for thrill seekers and a pair of motorised rickshaws arrived in Southamp-ton ahead of their summer journey from Kathmandu in Nepal to Pondicherry in India.
Around 30 teams from Britain are set to join this year's run which raises thousands of pounds for Mercy Corps to help poor communities with urgent health needs, and Frank Water who help implement clean water facilities for people in India.
