TWO senior executives are to leave British Airways following the fiasco at Heahrow Terminal Five.

Gareth Kirkwood, director of operations, and David Noyes, director of customer services, are to leave the airline.

The £4.3bn Heathrow terminal opened on March 27, but was plagued by problems such as thousands of bags being lost and staff not being able to get to work.

As a result, BA - which has exclusive use of the building - was not able to offer its full short haul schedule until April 8.

The transfer of long haul flights to T5 has been further delayed.

The fiasco has reportedly cost British Airways £16m so far.

The company has said it is now looking for replacements for the two directors.
