IT is a power-packed way of putting over the Christian message.

It comes from a group of men who have become well known for telling people how their lives have changed since they heard the message of Jesus.

Tough Talk are in Gosport today spreading the word.

Sponsored by Alverstoke Evangelical Church, they include several powerlifting champions and have a novel way of bringing their stories to audiences of all ages.

Team member Arthur White was a world champion powerlifter and a successful business man until cocaine and steroid use threatened to ruin his life.

Everything seemed hopeless and yet one cold morning in Spitalfields Market his life was turned around by Jesus.

Arthur is still powerlifting, but now without drugs and has recently won a World Masters Championship - he now spends much of his spare time taking his story into prisons throughout the country.

Tony Wing a spokesman for Alverstoke Evangelical, said: "This is a tremendous opportunity for youngsters to see an amazing display of weightlifting and to see and hear the inspiring stories that lie behind the changes in the lives of some bodybuilders who were once at the bottom of the pile".

Their Gosport appearance at Bay House starts at 7.30pm.

There will be a small charge for admission. For further details ring 023 9252 2834.
