A HOST of angels descended on Southampton for a fancy dress fun run around Saints' football stadium.
The Saintly 5K run was in aid of the Wessex Cancer Trust and saw more than 100 runners pound the pavements around Northam before finishing with a lap of the pitch.
Belinda Poore, fundraising executive for the Wessex Cancer Trust, said: "It was really exiting. This was the first time we ran the event and it was a great turn out. The race was taken very seriously by some runners who finished it after about 15 minutes."
Organisers are planing to hold the event again next year and allow runners to dress as devils as well.
