FUNDRAISERS are hoping to foot the bill for new play equipment at a Hampshire special school by completing a gruelling marathon trek.
Members of Footprints want to raise £5,000 by walking 131 miles along the North Downs, from Surrey to Dover, in just a week.
The five walkers will then split their sponsorship funds between Wessex Heartbeat and paying for a new set of swings at St Francis Special School in Fareham.
Last year the group raised £4,000 for Cancer Research UK by walking 100 miles along the South Downs.
