AFTER two years of disruptions and uncertainty, the autumn music gig calendar is back to full capacity with some of the biggest names and exciting new acts performing in Southampton.
The city's 02 Guildhall presents Sugababes (29 October), Sports Team (17 October) and Meonstoke-born Frank Turner (14 October), plus indie stars Sea Girls (23 November), Belle & Sebastian (29 November) and legendary Londoners Squeeze (21 November).
They are joined by Reading rockers The Amazons (11 October), whose latest album How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? has just reached number five in the Official Chart.

Southampton acts The Manatees (22 October), The Dead Freights (26 October) and The Novatones (4 November) are at The Joiners while Pioneers star at The Loft (30 September) with support from local bands Sins, Paraffin and Small Talk.
West Lothian rockers The Snuts bring their new album Burn The Empire to The Engine Rooms (19 October), fresh from supporting Kings of Leon.
The Joiners also sees headline shows from The Skinner Brothers (4 October), plus Crystal Tides (7 October) and Newcastle songwriter Andrew Cushin (9 October), who both joined The Sherlocks in Southampton in May.
Crystal Tides sold out The Wedgewood Rooms in June, while Cushin has recently supported Noel Gallagher, as well as releasing his debut EP.
Venue Heartbreakers celebrates its fifth birthday and showcases acts The Clockworks (30 September), Southampton’s Myriad (22 October) and Monmouthshire’s The Bug Club (30 October).
Sheffield collective SHEAFS (1 November) also bring songs from their debut album A Happy Medium to Heartbreakers, while Andy Crofts (18 November) also performs there, with support from Teenage Waitress Southampton songwriter Daniel Ash.
The Undertones (6 October), Boston rockers The Lemonheads (12 October) and Yungblud (26 October) come to The 1865, before Liverpool legends The Lightning Seeds (3 November) appear there on the eve of the World Cup, alongside Badly Drawn Boy.
Elsewhere, Kaiser Chiefs headline the BIC in Bournemouth (17 November) with The Fratellis and The Sherlocks, while Blossoms (16 November) and Jamie T (22 November) are at Portsmouth Guildhall.
In 2023, KT Tunstall and Suede are at The Guildhall, while Kula Shaker have a date at The Engine Rooms.
