A MAN who was selling a Rolex to pay for private medical care was robbed at knife-point in his own home, say police.
An investigation has been launched after the man had his watch stolen in Park Gate.
Police say he had advertised the watch on Facebook Marketplace and was planning on using the sale proceeds to pay for private medical care.
On September 6, he received a call from a woman saying she was interested in buying the watch.

At around 8pm that evening, a woman and a man turned up at the victim’s home address and at first pretended to proceed with the transaction.
The man then threatened the victim with a knife and the pair fled the scene with the watch.
The watch is described as a silver Rolex Oyster Perpetual DATEJUST, with a white gold fluted bezel and a jubilee bracelet.
Police are now appealing to the public for information.

"When you are either selling or buying online and through Facebook Marketplace, you never truly know who you are dealing with, as criminals can hide behind a social media profile."
