A MAN suffered cuts to his head in an assault with police seizing a knife.
The man in his 20s was injured in the incident at the junction of Marston Road and Napier Road in Thornhill, Southampton.
Officers were called to the junction in the early hours of Saturday morning.
As reported, a cordon was put in place while police investigated.
A Hampshire police spokesperson said the victim suffered injuries including superficial cuts to his head.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A knife was also found at the scene of the assault and has been seized for further examination.

Trainee Detective Constable Callum Whitehouse, the officer in the case, said: "We continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident and to identify those involved.
