Professional and amateur musicians will perform in historic hotspots including 13th Century gatehouse God's House Tower, King John's Palace, the garden within Tudor House and some of the city's incredible vaults.
A special stage will be set up in Guildhall Square and many of the city's top pubs and live music spots have also joined the list of venues on the Music in the City map on Saturday (September 24).
Acts will include classic and new covers duo When Harri Met Alli, sax and harmonica duo The Dinner Set, urban artist Emotive Concept and top entertainers Southampton Ukelele Jam.
They're joined on the lineup by the likes of punk rockers Weird Unkles, four-piece alt-rock/post-punk/indie band Ekowe, busker Fragile Lucy and The Burns Unit, a blues/rock band covering Animals to ZZ Top via Clapton, Santana, Stones and more.
Martin Perry, who is organising the event with James Baillie, will perform at several different venues, notably in the spectacular finale show taking place on Sunday afternoon at The 1865.
A collective of some of Southampton's most respected, successful, and loved performers, known as The Southampton AllStars will also be performing.
They've toured, played, recorded, supported and worked with some of the biggest names in music including George Michael, Diana Ross, Sting, Tom Petty, Dusty Springfield and Gary Numan.
They debuted in 2021 as part of Music In The City, returned as the city performed for Ukraine and will take to the stage from 1pm to 4pm.
The AllStars go head to head with the City of Southampton Orchestra and Flautissimo classical concerts at Southampton City Art Gallery the same afternoon.
