TWENTY-three firefighters were called out to tackle a blaze at a Hampshire Church.
The fire at St Michael's Church, in Hythe, was reported at 8.16am and extinguished just before 9am.
An aerial ladder, four appliances and six breathing apparatus were used and the church is currently being ventilated.
Nobody was injured in the fire and the police have been notified.
Fire investigation officers are expected to attend the scene this morning to determine the cause of the fire.
The extent of the damage is as yet unknown.
