Compton arrived to face Hythe hurricanes having already secured promotion, but were desperate to finish the season well and guarantee top spot in the league.
Hurricanes themselves were looking to dish out some revenge for the result two weeks prior, which saw Compton come out 6-0 winners.
The game started with a quick tempo and both teams battled hard in midfield to gain the upper hand.
Compton made the early breakthrough when a Jack Pearson corner wasn't dealt with, and Scotty Boeser pounced on the loose ball to put the visitors 1 up.
There then followed a period of play where it could have gone either way, Compton looked strong on the break, but Hurricanes always seemed to have players available and looked as if they could score at any time.
Eventually they did draw level when a long through ball from the defence found the unmarked Hurricanes number 9, and he made no mistake in slotting the ball past George Stanton. Hurricanes 1-1 Compton.
Hythe then dominated play, and just before half time they went ahead. Another long ball from the Hurricanes back line found the impressive Hurricanes number 9 again and he coolly lobbed George Stanton to make the score 2-1 at the break.
The second half saw total dominance from the home side, and whatever was said to them during the break, worked a treat!!
Hurricanes made it 3-1 within 5 minutes of the restart. A deep corner wasn't cleared by Compton and the strong Hurricanes number 7 showed strength and precision in slotting home from just inside the area.
3-1 soon became 4-1 when the speedy Hurricanes number 8 picked the ball up inside his own half and drove straight into the heart of the Compton defence, and smashed the ball past George Stanton to complete a fantastic solo goal.
Compton then changed formation and went 3 at the back, this allowed David to play up top with DJ, Ben and Scott Barker.
The Big defender nearly gave Compton hope, but for a magnificent save by the Hurricanes keeper.
David held off two challenges and fired a hard, low left footed shot, but the Hurricanes number 1 got down superbly to deny him.
The Hurricanes number 9 then completed his hattrick with another impressive solo goal.
The ball was played down the channel for him to chase and he out paced the Compton defenders and fired into the top corner with ease. 5-1.
Compton did have the ball in the net shortly after, however Ben was adjudged to have strayed offside.
Just before the full time whistle, Hurricanes scored another goal to add to Compton's misery.
There was no surprise that the scorer was the on fire Hurricanes number 9, who held off challenges from two defenders and calmly lifted the ball over George to make the final score Hythe Hurricanes 6-1 Compton.
MAN OF THE MATCH: George Elsey - When George came on he added some strength to the Compton defence and made some vital interceptions and tackles.
Also George's attitude every week had an influence on this award. He hasn't started too many games this season, but never complains and just concentrates on giving 110% every time he comes on.
This attitude is a manager's dream, and I think everyone can agree with me that George fully deserves this award.
