HAMPSHIRE Primary Care Trust is blitzing waiting times and treating patients within 18 weeks.
The PCT's care services are treating more than 90 per cent of patients admitted to its hospitals, and more than 95 per cent of non-admitted patients within 18 weeks, from the moment they are referred.
Chris Blake, director of performance and business development for the PCT's provider services said: "This is great news for patients as it means they are receiving their first treatment faster than ever."
The target is set by the Department of Health which demands patients are seen within four-and-a-half months to ensure high-quality care.
