Music in the City, Saturday and Sunday
With more than 1000 performers from 160 plus acts playing all styles of music in 24 interesting and unusual venues around Southampton, Music in the City returns for its 14th outing this weekend.
Organisers believe the free family event could be the biggest ever.
Celebrating the wonderful diversity of musical talent from the Solent area, audiences can expect everything from Rock to Jazz, Classical to Americana and Folk to Blues in various venues around the city.
Professional and amateur musicians will perform in historic hotspots including 13th Century gatehouse God's House Tower, King John's Palace, the garden within Tudor House and some of the city's incredible vaults on Saturday.
A special Southampton AllStars performance and two classical concerts take place on Sunday.

Southampton International Boat Show, all weekend
Britain's biggest festival of boating, Southampton International Boat Show draws to a close on Sunday.
The whole family can experience life on the water at Europe’s largest purpose-built show marina, with a backdrop featuring everything from kayaks to catamarans, SUPS to superyachts and the world’s most exciting and innovative boats.
The On the Water Zone hosts a whole selection of watersports under expert guidance, from paddleboards and kayaks to dinghy sailing. It's designed to whet the appetite of visitors and is included in the ticket price. With Try-a-Boat you can try something new or sharpen your existing watersports skills with experts on hand to help. Powerboats, yachts, RIBS and a plethora of other craft are available to try.

The Lion King, Mayflower Theatre, all weekend
Disney's epic musical The Lion King continues in Southampton.
The spectacular production, which was last performed at Mayflower Theatre in 2014, is enjoying a run of nearly six weeks.
Set against the majesty of the Serengeti Plains and to the evocative rhythms of Africa, Disney's beloved animated film has been transformed for the stage.
At its heart is the powerful story of Simba and his epic adventure to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

Trains and more trains! A Museum in Steam event, Bursledon Brickworks, Sunday
Choo Choo!
Go and ride the rails at the annual event dedicated to trains.
Ride the miniature railway and explore displays based on the narrow-gauge railway and model train layouts as well.
It iruns from 11am to 4pm at Swanwick Lane and will attract train enthusiasts of alla ages.
St James' Park Village Show, Sunday
THE village show is a free community event taking place at St James' Park in Shirley on Sunday between 11am and 4pm
There will be live music, dance performances, stalls, sports, food, and a fantastic opportunity to shine in the vegetable, cake, art and more competition.
The event is supported by Solent NHS Trust, Southampton City Council and SO:Linked, with the aim of bringing together local people and representing as many charities, organisations, CIC's and local groups as possible, to have fun together, get to know each other and highlight the great things happening in the area.
