TWO passengers miraculously walked away from a plane crash unharmed after their light aircraft plummeted to the ground at a Hampshire airfield.
A 51-year-old and a 44-year-old emerged unscathed from the wreckage despite their Piper PA28 aircraft losing both its wings and its fuselage breaking in half.
Popham Airfield, the scene of the Micheldever crash, had originally been scheduled to host an international exhibition and classic car rally but luckily postponed the event due to bad weather.
Police were called to the airfield at 9pm last night and have since handed the incident over to the Air Accidents Investigations Branch.
The Internation Microlight Exhibition and Aero/Autojumble will now be held on August 2 and 3.
