A FORMER nightclub near Bedford Place has been turned into flats and an empty business unit.
Rhino, on Waterloo Terrace near Bedford Place, closed after police launched an investigation into the venue in 2014.
Last year, the site was acquired by Orchard Homes and torn down to make room for the new development.

It is now a three-storey property of mixed residential and commercial premises, appropriately named Rhino House.
It is keeping its traditional frontage in keeping with Bedford Place.
The development includes nine one-bed new-build flats and one studio on the upper floors.
These were all let within a month of marketing, according to real estate company Savills.
On the ground floor, there is a commercial space of 2,000 sq ft, with frontage across both Bedford Place and Waterloo Terrace.
There is a modern rear extension on Waterloo Road, with glass elevating the ground floor.
The commercial space is being marketed by Savills for offers in the region of £40,000 a year, with incentives available.
Stuart Mitchell of Orchard Homes, said: “We are delighted to complete the construction of Rhino House.
"The high-quality residential units have provided the local area with much-needed housing accommodation and have now all been let. We are actively seeking a commercial tenant for the ground floor premises, which has excellent flexibility in terms of use.”
Chris Bickle, Director in the Licensed Leisure team at Savills Southampton, added: “This is a well located and spacious ground floor commercial unit suitable for a variety of uses including café, retail and business services.”
Police launched a probe into alleged blackmail and false imprisonment concerning the club in May 2014, and applied to have its licence withdrawn.
Three arrests were made connected with the venue.
The owner of the club, 70-year-old Robin Felgate, said that he was one of the men arrested when the Daily Echo visited him at his home the same year.
At the time, he declined to comment on his arrest or closure of the club due to the ongoing police investigation.
The site is close to the city centre, and is close to Bedford Place, Carlton Place and London Road, with its range of entertainment and hospitality venues. Office occupiers in the area include Paris Smith solicitors and Savills.
