THE Hampshire broadband provider toob has said it will stick with its policy of not raising prices for customers during the period of their contract.
Toob provides fast full-fibre broadband in Southampton for £25 a month on an 18-month contract.
It says this superior connection typically costs £60 per month with other providers.
Many broadband providers, including BT, are hiking prices by 3.9 per cent on top of an annual inflation-linked increase, with inflation currently standing at 9.9 per cent.
Toob founder and chief executive Nick Parbutt said: “I firmly believe that when you sign a contract, you should know what you are going to pay for the duration of the contract.
“It appears only right and fair.
“With household costs rising so, I think it is even more important that our customers can sign up to toob’s broadband and know what they are going to pay throughout the length of the contract, no ifs, no buts.
“No in-contract price rises will therefore be something that our customers can trust us to maintain, particularly in these challenging times,” he added.
Toob says customers who face a big price rise should examine the terms and conditions of their contracts.
