A DISQUALIFIED driver fuelled by cocaine was caught on the roads without insurance.

Christian Avery was caught drug driving on Bernard Street in Southampton on February 8.

The 49-year-old was found to have cocaine in his system, and had previously been disqualified from driving.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of drug driving, one charge of driving while disqualified, and one charge of driving without insurance.

Avery, of Beechwood Gardens, Southampton, was remanded on unconditional bail until the next court hearing on October 21 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
