THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
MANTAS BERZYS, 35, of Park Road, New Milton. Admitted one charge of drink driving. Disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £100. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £300.
ADAM JAMES-DYER, 23, of Diligence Close, Bursledon. Admitted one charge of assault. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 18 months and ordered to pay £600 compensation. Handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim until September 2025. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £300.
MERVYN EVANS, 76, of Fairlawn Close, Rownhams. Admitted one charge of driving without due care and attention. Disqualified from driving for 60 days and fined £300. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £50.
TERENCE WESTON, 43, of Portland Street, Southampton. Admitted one charge of racially aggravated common assault and one charge of using threatening and abusive words and behaviour. Handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim for one year and was fined £180. Also ordered to abstain from alcohol for 60 days and pay £200 compensation.

ANDREI LACULICEANU, 20, of Cromwell Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of drug driving. Disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £276. Also ordered to pay court costs of £85.
JAKE BEESLEY, 27, of Warren Avenue, Southampton. Admitted two charges of assault by beating. Remanded on unconditional bail until the next court hearing on October 7 as the defendant has a broken jaw so required surgery and recovery time was needed.
SHAHEENA RAFIQUE, 26, of Epping Close, Southampton. Admitted one charge of failing to provide a specimen of breath to police when suspected of having committed a driving offence. Disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months Also ordered to pay court costs of £85.
BERNARD MUBIRU, 40, of Lydgate Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of drink driving. Disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £120. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £48 and court costs of £85.
DARIUSZ SIENKIEWICZ, 47, Hawthorn Road, Bournemouth. Admitted one charge of drug driving on the M27 westbound at Picket Post. Disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £400. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and court costs of £85.
MARTIN ALDER, 34, of Coltsfoot Square, Oxford. Admitted one charge of assault by beating at the Bright Water Inn in Shirley, one charge of the possession of cocaine, one charge of using threatening and abusive language with intent to cause fear, and one charge of causing criminal damage to a police van. Remanded in custody until the next court hearing on September 26 for a live link hearing.
