SOUTHAMPTON drivers need to be aware of these eight road closures this week.
Six roads are already closed and expected to carry on this week, according to National Highways:
- M27, from 8pm October 17, 2019 to 6am October 3, 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 5 to junction 4, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network
- M27, from 8pm July 23 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 4 to 7, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways
- M27, from 8pm September 19 to 6am October 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 4 to 7, Lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways
- M27, from 8pm February 7 to 6am October 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 4, link road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion route via National Highways network
- M27, from 9pm August 9 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 3, slip road and lane closures for barrier repairs, diversion via National Highways network
- M27, from 9pm November 17 2020 to 6am October 19 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 westbound, junction 8, slip road closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via Highways England network
An extra two closures will begin over the next week:
• M27, from 8pm September 26 to 6am September 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 5, carriageway closure for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority network
• M27, from 8pm October 3 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M27 eastbound and westbound, junction 4 to 7, Link, slip road and lane closures for M27 Smart Motorways, diversion via National Highways network
These are the roads that will be closed by National Highways, which is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, and so closures of smaller roads are not included.
