POLICE have released an image after a man selling a Rolex watch on Facebook Marketplace was robbed.

An investigation was launched after the item was taken at knifepoint on September 6. 

The victim had advertised the silver Rolex Oyster Perpetual DATEJUST in the hope that the proceeds would pay for private medical care.

But when a man and a woman attended his home in Park Gate, he was threatened by the man with a knife. 

The pair then left with the watch which is described as having a white gold fluted bezel and a jubilee bracelet. 

Releasing an image of a man they would like to speak to, police said: "We are keen to identify the man pictured here as part of our enquiries.
