STAFF at a Tesco store have been attacked during a shoplifting incident which saw £3,000 worth of cigarettes and alcohol stolen.
Police have launched a search for witnesses following the incident at the Tesco Extra store in Lee-on-the-Solent.
Four men were seen entering the store on Pier Street at around 4.50pm on August 7.

They are alleged to have stolen more than £3,000 worth of cigarettes and alcohol.
Images of four men police would like to speak to have been released.
A police spokesperson said: "Following initial enquiries we are now releasing CCTV images of four men we would like to speak to in relation to this investigation.
"If you are one of these men, or know who they are, please call 101 quoting reference number 44220319005."
