A PEDESTRIAN has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Totton.
The man, in his 30s, suffered injuries to his head and ribs. He is in hospital.
Hampshire police said a 55-plate Ford Focus hit the man in High Street, Totton, at around 10.30am on Friday.
DS Nik Rose, of Western CID, said: "The victim in this incident has suffered very serious injuries and we are working hard to understand what has happened and where the vehicle has gone following the collision.

"If you are the driver of the Focus, or you saw the occupant or occupants of the vehicle, then we would urge you to make contact with us now.
"I want to hear from anyone who can assist our enquiries, whether that be contacting us directly by calling 101 or submitting information online. You can do this quoting the reference 44220397711.
"Or, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously and provide information.
"Any detail, regardless of how small you may think it to be, could be vitally important to our enquiries."
