A MEAT cleaver-wielding Southampton man racially abused a postman during a drunken crime spate.
Levi Allan appeared in court following a string of public order offences during an incident on Saturday, September 10.
Police were called to a home on Coxford Road at 10am on September 10 after a postman was racially assaulted.
When officers arrived, Allan was seen to be causing criminal damage inside a property while wielding a meat cleaver.
The 22-year-old previously pleaded guilty to affray, racially aggravated assault and malicious communications at a hearing on Monday, September 12.
Appearing at Southampton Crown Court today, Allan, of Coxford Road, Southampton, received a 10-month custodial sentence - suspended for 18 months, ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work, attend 20 rehabilitation days as well as pay statutory costs.
