MUSICIAN Amy Da Silva has been nominated for a Youth Music Award.

The Southampton artist, who featured on both Sounds of Southampton Vol 1 and Vol2 Albums, and her track Think Twice, has been nominated for the Youth Music Best Original Track Award (Solo) sponsored by TikTok.

Matt Salvage, Chief Executive of city music project SoCo, said: "We’re blown away by this nomination for Amy - it’s so well deserved and we’re so happy for her.

"Amy has been working incredibly hard and taking all the opportunities we’ve been able to offer her.

"It’s fantastic to see that she’s been nominated for this prestigious national award. We can’t wait to hear how she gets on at the awards in October.”

Winners will be announced at The Youth Music Awards in London on October 19.

This trailblazing event will showcase the next generation of musical talent.

Last year’s winners have achieved significant success since. TEE, who won the Lyricist Award in 2022 is now part of Little Simz’ touring crew and Sans Soucis, winner of Original Track Award (solo artist), has signed a deal with Decca Records.
