A MILK shortage has been spotted at Sainsbury's.
A resident says he went to buy some bits in Shirley at around 3pm today but there were only some two-litre bottles left.
"Something's going on," said Kev Billington.
The Southampton resident told the Echo: "It was a shock to me. I have been a bit ill and just wanted to get a few bits and with the roadworks ended up in Shirley.
"Low and behold, I am in a different universe.
"(Milk) is an essential item."
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “Due to a delivery issue there was a small delay in receiving milk at our Shirley store in Southampton on Tuesday.
"The store continues to receive regular deliveries and customers will find full shelves again now. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
