THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
KASPARS LIEPINS, 41, of Staplehurst Close, Southampton. Found guilty of one charge of assault by beating. Jailed for 18 weeks and handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim until October 2025. Also ordered to pay £300 compensation as well as a victim surcharge of £128 and court costs of £300.
THOMAS MINIHAN, 31, of Parkhill Close, Holbury. Admitted one charge of driving while disqualified, one charge of using a mobile phone while driving, and one charge of driving without insurance. Committed to prison for two months suspended for 12 months and disqualified from driving for two years. Also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and court costs of £85.
KEVIN PAUL JAMES BROPHY, 48, of Oxford Street, Southampton. Admitted one charge of assault by beating and one charge of the possession of cannabis. Handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim directly or indirectly or attending her address until October 2027. Also ordered to pay compensation of £300 and court costs of £85.
IAIN ROYSTON GRAY, 53, of Botley Road, West End. Admitted one charge of speeding in a Land Rover on the A34 Chieveley. Driving record endorsed with three points and fined £400.
LEE BARNES, 39, OF Round Copse, Dibden. Admitted one charge of theft and one charge of fraud. Jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay £1,040 compensation.
LIAM HOOPER, 29, of Dyre Road, Southampton. Admitted one charge of harassment without violence. Handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim, attended two Romsey address and visiting the Dog and Crook pub until October 2024. Also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and court costs of £85.
FINLEY MINNS, 19, of High Street, Lymington. Admitted breaching a community order by failing to attend unpaid work. Ordered to carry out 30 hours of unpaid work and pay costs of £30.
ANDREW WILLIAM HENBEST, 36, of Desborough Road, Eastleigh. Admitted breaching supervision requirements following his release from prison by failing to keep in touch with his supervisor. Fined £60.
PETER SIDNEY ROSHER, 35, of no fixed address. Admitted breaching supervision requirements following his release from prison by failing to keep in touch with his supervisor. Committed to prison for 14 days.
