POLICE officers investigating the death of a man in Winchester are appealing for key witnesses after arresting two women.
Officers were called by South Central Ambulance Service to a sudden death at a property in Brassey Road, Fulflood, at 8.20am on Friday, September 16.
They found the body of a 63-year-old man inside the property, the police said today.
Two women, aged 54 and 18, both from Winchester, have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
They have been questioned and released from custody but remain under investigation while enquiries continue.
Enquiries into the exact circumstances of his death are ongoing, said the police in a statement this afternoon.
As part of this investigation, officers are keen to speak to two members of the public who helped the man in the street a few days before.

On Monday September 12, the man fell over in the street near to his address in Brassey Road. Two members of the public helped him and his wife home.
Officers are keen to speak to these members of the public as witnesses as we believe they may have information that will assist our investigation.
