A GANG of moped riders has been caught on camera attempting to steal a £3,000 motorbike in Southampton.
Benjamin Whiteside, 31, had passed his motorbike licence less than a week before thieves attempted to steal his Suzuki GSX-R750.
The £3,000 vehicle was chained up and covered outside his home on Northeast Road in Sholing.
Benjamin said he was "shocked" after watching his Ring doorbell footage.
CCTV shows a group of six young people on three motorcycles attempting to steal the Suzuki in the early hours of Tuesday before giving up and escaping.

Benjamin said he was alerted to the attempted theft from his Ring doorbell after checking the footage hours later.
He said: "It was a shock because they didn't seem bothered at all that what they were doing was a crime.
"I didn't hear anything at the time so I didn't check my doorbell camera until after going on a run with my stepson.
"When I saw what happened I reported it to the police.
"When they realised the motorbike was chained up they walked off like it was nothing.
"You can see in the footage that they were organised.
"Putting the headlights from their motorbikes in the camera so it's harder to see what they're doing.
"It was clearly planned and they were so brazen about it."
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "If you have any information about this incident or any doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist us, please call 101 quoting reference number 44220413545."
