The AA has released its Restaurant Guide for 2023, with two restaurants from Southampton featuring.

The Blue Jasmine and The Jetty both received two rosettes in the Hampshire section of the guide.

Now in its 29th edition, AA’s Restaurant Guide for 2023 provides food lovers with breakdowns of restaurants by county, including a detailed description of each destination, information on latest chef changes, opening times, sample menu prices and images of many of the featured locations.

Assessments of AA-inspected establishments are based on the experience of the Hotel and Restaurant inspectors on the occasion.

The restaurants are then awarded 1-5 ‘rosettes’ depending on the inspector's assessment.

Blue Jasmine is described as a "show-stopping, hotspot venue" with "stylish" interiors.

Its south-east Asian cooking was praised as "flavour-packed" and "perfect for sharing".

On its Tripadvisor page it has a score of 4.5/5 from 215 reviews, with 158 of those being 'Excellent'.

Meanwhile The Jetty was commended for being "chic" and "elegant" as part of the Southampton Harbour Hotel.

It is known for its seafood dishes and incorporating locally-sourced ingredients to bring out flavours.

On its Tripadvisor page it has a rating of 4.5/5 from 735 reviews, with 540 of those being rated as 'Excellent'.
