THE WAIT is finally over as Oktoberfest returns to Southampton today.
On Friday, beer-lovers will be treated to the south coast's biggest Oktoberfest for the fifth year running.
Organisers have urged those who are interested to "book swiftly" as tickets are selling fast and the event sells out every year.
Held outside Southampton Guildhall, the event hopes to bring "some of the world’s best beers and drinks" to Southampton.
Entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend with an Oompha band, as well as a number of food vendors offering vegan options too.
Those planning to attend should be aware that fancy dress is optional.
The festival is on between 6.30pm and 11pm on Friday, from 12.30pm to 5.30pm and from 6.30pm to 11pm on Saturday.
The remaining tickets for Friday cost between £15-£17.50 (plus booking fee) for standing, while the remaining seating tickets cost £27.50 (plus booking fee).
Saturday daytime tickets that remain available to buy cost between £10-£15 (plus booking fee) for standing, whilst seating tickets are completely sold out. There are, however, VIP table tickets still available which cost £350 plus booking fee.
With all seating and VIP tables sold out, the final batch of tickets for Saturday evening are just for standing, and this will cost £17.50 plus booking fee.
You can either book your tickets through the Oktoberfest Southampton website, Visit Southampton’s website, or through Fatsoma.
