A CRUISE passenger will be enjoying "a different kind of holiday" after turning up drunk for his cruise and assaulting staff.
The male passanger was "totally inebriated" when he boarded a cruise ship at Southampton on Saturday night.
When he didn't like the cabin he was given, he went on to assault staff on board.
Police were called and the man was removed from the ship.
In a tweet, a police officer said: "Our first job on this nightshift is dealing with a male who thought it would be a good idea to arrive for his cruise holiday totally inebriated and then assaulted staff when he didn’t like his cabin.
"A different kind of holiday now awaits."

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 7pm to a cruise ship in the City Cruise Terminal, Herbert Walker Avenue, following a report that a passenger was being abusive to staff.
“Following enquiries no crime was recorded and officers escorted the man off the boat so he could go home.”
