MOTORISTS in Southampton are set to face a difficult month when travelling through the city.
Roadworks will be affecting a number of major routes through the city.
Here's all of the major roadworks going on in Southampton this month:
Cobden Bridge
Work started on Cobden Bridge on October 31, and will see an impact on bus services that use the route.
Work will be carried out to replace kerb stones and gullies as well as placing new road markings on the road surface.
The aim is to improve the bus stop, access for pedestrians, and the cycle lane on the bridge.
It is set to run for two weeks between 7.30am and 5pm.
Two-way traffic will be maintained during this time.
Lordshill Way
Work will start on Lordshill Way on November 4 and will see a complete closure of the road.
The road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 6am until November 11 for workers to carry out bridge resurfacing and joint maintenance.
A diversion route will be in place.
Thomas Lewis Way
Thomas Lewis Way is to close overnight for six weeks as works are carried out.
The junction of Thomas Lewis Way and Mayfield Road is set to be improved and upgraded from November 7.
This area will be closed to motorists for six weeks while the changes are made.
The work, completed by Balfour Beatty, will be carried out in two phases.
Bellevue Road
Work will end on Bellevue Road on November 18.
A diversion route has been in place since October 24 for street works to be completed.
Brookvale Road
Work on Brookvale Road is set to end on November 25.
A diversion route is in place while resurfacing works take place.
The work started on October 24.
Copperfield Road
Work on Copperfield Road is set to end on November 25.
The work, which started on September 19, has seen carriageway resurfacing and drainage improvements made.
