A YELLOW weather warning for rain has been issued for parts of Southampton.
The alert, issued by the Met Office, will be in place from midnight tonight until 3pm on Thursday.
It covers much of the South East, particularly the coastal areas.
The warning means persistent, sometimes heavy rain, is forecast.

Flooding is likely and bus and rail services could be disrupted.
The warning comes a day after Storm Claudio brought high winds and heavy rain to Southampton.
Some roads were completely flooded as a result of the storm and some trees came down.

What to expect
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
