MORE than 100 people attended a vigil for a woman at the centre of an assault investigation.
Fireworks and candles were lit as dozens gathered for Shannon Webb who was taken to hospital following an incident in Leigh Road, Eastleigh, on Sunday.
Shannon's favourite songs were played at the vigil held on Friday evening at Leigh Road Recreation Ground by the bandstand.
Kathie Pitt, whose sons went to school with Shannon, was surprised to see so many people at the vigil.
She said: "This just shows how much everyone loves Shannon. She is a good girl."

Shannon’s grandmother, who asked not to be named, said: "I feel numb and angry for her.
"Shannon is well-loved, and the turnout says everything. I am not surprised to see so many people.
"Her friends, her school teacher, and her colleagues—they're all here."
Dannon Robinson, who organised the vigil, said: "I’m really happy to see so many people down here today.
"It’s definitely a bigger crowd than I was expecting.
"I’m hurt that this happened to her and just want her to get better.
"I want to say thank you to everyone who showed up today. It’s great to see the support Shannon and her family are receiving from the community."
Two people have been charged over the incident and have appeared in court.
