A GROUP of Hampshire Christians have returned from visiting the church of Uganda where they have been strengthening the historic and active link between the Romsey Deanery and South Rwenzori.
The team, led by Angela Jones included Colin Jones, David Edes and the Rev Julian Williams (all from Nursling and Rownhams) Marian Pike and Monica Lanigan (North Baddesley) and Dick and Anne Hewett (Romsey Abbey) Mr Williams, who is Vicar of Nursling and Rownhams, said: "For most it was a first taste of Africa and a chance to see at first-hand some of the wonderful work the Church is doing, some of it supported by Romsey Deanery."
