A WOMAN is urging the council to fix her road after "huge" potholes caused damage to her car.
Carly Moore, 42, has been fighting to get her street resurfaced in Bitterne Park for more than four years with little success.
The mother-of-two, of Wakefield Road, said the potholes get filled by the council about every two months.
But because of double-decker buses and speeding motorists, they quickly reappear.
Carly is now demanding the council resurface the road completely. She is worried that if action is not taken sooner then "an accident is bound to happen."

She said: "All the neighbours are frustrated by this and have reported it online multiple times and complained to the council and taken photos.
"The council just make a quick repair which isn't working. The whole section of this road needs to be resurfaced. The patches are making it worse.
"It's damaging people's cars. My car has scratches because the stuff they use to fill the potholes comes out and breaks up and goes everywhere.
"We can't park on the road because this road is a rat run and cars speed down it kicking up everything.
"I work in construction and this is not how you do things. Having to come and make repairs every two months and a bit is a waste.
"The council spent so much money recently making repairs on roads and not this road?"
Royston Smith, MP for Southampton Itchen, grew up in Bitterne Park and said motorists deserve better.
He said: "Labour might not like cars and motorists, but drivers pay enough tax - it’s not unreasonable to expect their roads to be better than this."
Southampton City Council repaired the potholes following the Echo approaching the authority for comment.
A spokesperson said the road could be resurfaced in 2023/24 or 2024/25 depending on funding.
Surveys are regularly carried out on the stretch, the council said.
A spokesperson said: "Wakefield Road was originally constructed in phases as this part of Southampton was developed – the section from Witts Hill to Onibury Road is the older section that was constructed in the 1930s.
"This older part of the road where the construction is weaker is where parts of the road surface has deteriorated – in particular near the junction with Chester Road, and between Cleveland Road and Onibury Road.
"It is in this area that potholes have been recently reported by residents via the Southampton City Council Pothole Report webpage, and are being prioritised for repair this week, after initial temporary repairs were completed."
