AN ICONIC Southampton building unused for the last decade is about to get a new lease of life.
The Bugle, which overlooks the city's Royal Pier, will be opening its doors on December 5, ready to host luxurious sleepover celebrations, weddings, corporate events, shoots, and homestays.
The landmark five-storey townhouse on the corner of Bugle Street accommodates celebrations for up to 104 guests seated with further capacity for standing events and provides customers with the use of three event spaces, eight bedrooms, and a fully stocked late-night basement bar.

For home stays, the Grade II listed building sleeps 16 guests across the eight rooms, along with access to the whole house with the setup able to be completely unique for every stay, dependent on requirements.
When hiring The Bugle, guests will be given the keys to the house where they can decorate the venue in their own style, select a caterer that suits them, and have the run of the house, with the help of their own event coordinator.
Robert Camping, founder of Wonder House Group, told the Daily Echo: "We are so excited that the beautiful and historic building, which has laid dormant for so many years, will finally reopen its doors - fulfilling its purpose once again."
The Victorian building is considered one of the most beautiful in the city, retaining many of its original features to this day.
Built in the Italian style in 1846 on the site of a former Custom House, it was the headquarters of the Royal Southern Yacht Club, a private members club.
It was designed by local architect Thomas Sandon Hack and paid for by Robert Wright, a Vice-Commodore of the Club.
The building was most recently used as offices by Southampton University Air Squadron (SUAS).
However, it has been empty since the group moved premises in 2013.
It is the first venue for Wonder House Group, a collection of historical one-of-a-kind houses. Dunford House in West Sussex will soon follow.
The price for venue hire will start from £2,500.
