Have you ever wanted to see a huge aircraft carrier in person?

If the answer is yes, you might be in luck.

It just so happens that the 'biggest warship in the world' has arrived into Solent waters.

Sailing enthusiasts will be able to visit the USS Gerald R. Ford, an aircraft carrier for the US Navy, anchored off the Hampshire coast.

The vessel is the lead ship of her class of the US Navy aircraft carriers.

As it's too large to enter Portsmouth, Solent Cruises will be offering the opportunity to sail up close and give tours of the giant ship.

Tickets cost £19.50 for adults and £17.50 for seniors with tickets for children aged 10-15 priced at £15.50.

The tours will depart from Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.

Gosport Ferry will also be running two-hour tours on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Services will depart from the Gosport Ferry Terminal at 10am and 12.30pm respectively.
