A SOUTHAMPTON school where some parents say "bullying goes unchallenged" has been slammed in a watchdog report.
Valentine Primary School in Sholing was rated "requires improvement" following its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The report, published on November 11, showed that three out of five categories - the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, and leadership and management - were rated requires improvement.
The last two - personal development and early years provision - were rated good.

Inspectors noted that a number of parents "believe that bullying goes unchallenged and feel that some pupils are not treated fairly". They found pupils feel safe.
The report states that leaders know they have more work to do to reassure parents that bullying is not tolerated at the school.
Inspectors found that in some lessons a small number of pupils disrupt the learning of others.
They said: "Outside the classroom, the behaviour of a small number of pupils is not acceptable.
"Plans to help these pupils improve their behaviour are not yet appropriate."

Inspectors found that in some subjects teachers do not implement the curriculum in the way leaders intend.
"There is too much variability in the approaches that staff use," they said.
"This means support is not given in a timely manner to pupils or staff who need it."
Inspectors also noted that leaders have "not yet thought carefully enough" about how the curriculum adaptations enable pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to achieve their very best.

The report said: "Changes to the leadership of the SEND department have meant that some pupils with SEND have not received the specific support they need."
The report states that "teachers do not plan activities that take into account what pupils can already do or what they already know".
Despite this, the inspectors said that it is a "happy and welcoming school community" where most students behave well.
A spokesperson from the school said: "We are working closely with the local authority to rapidly address the issues raised from the recent Ofsted inspection.
"We have robust plans in place and we have identified clear milestones and actions.
"We are confident that we will transform the identified areas into strengths.
"We have communicated the report with our parents and will shortly be sharing our plans."
