TWO people have been arrested after cash and bank cards were stolen from a Southampton home.

A resident reported that a wallet containing £230 and several bank cards were stolen after two men entered a property on Manor Farm Road.

The bank cards were used shortly afterwards in two different shops in the Eastleigh area.

The burglary happened at around 5am on Wednesday, September 7.

Following an investigation, a person of interest was identified via forensic evidence.

Officers from the Eastleigh High Harm Team arrested a 26-year-old man of no fixed abode on suspicion of possession of an article for use in fraud and burglary dwelling with intent to steal.

He has since been released on bail.

A 32-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation and burglary dwelling with intent to steal.

He has been released under investigation pending further police enquiries.
