Tis the season to be jolly - as Southampton Christmas market opens.
Hundreds of people flocked to the city centre on Thursday evening for the return of the market which coincided with the annual Christmas lights switch on.
From hot dogs to crepes, sausages and cheese, there was plenty on offer.
Of course, music and entertainment was a big part of the event too with The Overtones delighting crowds with cheerful tunes.
Above are a selection of pictures from the night.
