STALKERS, fraudsters and dealers are just some of the people that have been through the courts in Southampton in recent weeks. 

From beating someone with a baseball bat to defrauding a cancer charity out of more than £90,000. These are just some of the crimes people have been convicted of. 

Below is a roundup of people who have been through Southampton's courts in the last month:

Mark Jacobs

Jacobs left his ex-wife "living in fear" after bombarding her with abusive messages and calls after they broke up. 

The 46-year-old of Napier Road, Thornhill flooded her phone with more than 50 messages and calls between June and July.

They had been together for 18 years but split up when she found he had been smoking cannabis. 

In a statement read out in court, the victim, who the Echo is not naming, said she is "constantly living in fear of bumping into him".

Abdi Foinsiyo

This 33-year-old of Britannic House, Kent Street launched a brutal attack on his uncle who had previously been helping him out financially. 

After stopping taking his mental health medication, Foinsiyo took a bottle of whisky to a park and got very drunk. 

Turning up at his home, he snatched the phone from his family member, which his uncle had been using to call for help, telling the operator he was going to kill him. 

He then went on to punch him multiple times, pulling him back when he tried to escape leaving him with serious injuries including fractures and his eye coming out of its socket.

Paula Tribbeck

Tribbeck took £91,344 from Wessex Cancer Trust over a period of deceit spanning seven years. 

As finance boss for the charity, she was trusted to close several bank accounts linked with the trust. 

But instead, Tribbeck kept the accounts open, taking money out for herself and altering the papers to make it look like the money was being used to pay suppliers. 

The 48-year-old of Broadlands Road, Southampton was said to be “spending large amounts of money” on shopping and holidays and “living beyond her means” as a result.

Robert Mann

Mann went to the home of his former girlfriend after the pair split up after two years. 

Armed with a machete, a court heard how he threw blocks of concrete at the property and damaged two cars, hitting them with the blade.

In mitigation, it was said that the 29-year-old of Corriander Drive, Totton believed the vehicles belonged to his ex's new partner. 

Mann later pleaded guilty to possession of a bladed article in a public place and three charges of criminal damage.

Sepan Qasim

This man was found with £565 in cash and an ounce of cannabis when he was stopped on the M27 near Eastleigh

The 25-year-old from Southsea was a passenger in a BMW 4-series and was searcged by police. 

They also found a knuckle duster in his jacket pocket and a phone with 199 contacts on it, thought to have been linked to drug dealing. 

Prosecuting, Christopher Hewertson told the court how the cannabis in his possession was for “commercial supply”, adding the cash found equated to an estimated 20 to 30 drug deals.

Lewis Kerby

Kerby was arrested and questioned after a man suffered serious injuries in a fight outside the Robin Hood pub in Sholing

A court later heard how his friend had been fighting another man and seeing he was in trouble, Kerby went to his car. 

Collecting a baseball bat he returned to the scene of the brawl and struck one of the men over the head with it multiple times. 

The man was left with a metal plate fitted in his skull which had been fractured when he was hit.

Joseph Arnold

Arnold of Haltons Close, Totton took his friends car from her home after she offered him a place to stay for the night. 

As well as the vehicle, her bag, phone and keys had gone, but these were later returned. 

It was later said in court that Arnold had been an addict and was taking the car to go and find some drugs. 

When he was stopped, police found a “meat clever” tucked into the side of the driver’s seat.
