A SECOND man has been charged with attempted murder after a 19-year-old was stabbed in Southampton

Bobby Roy, 18, of Matheson Road, Southampton has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a knife, blade or pointed article and violent disorder.

It relates to a stabbing on Coleman Street at 1pm last Friday that left a 19-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. 

He has since been released from hospital.

Roy appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody. 

He will next appear at Southampton Crown Court on December 23. 

Roman Omari, 18, from Queensway, Southampton, is also facing the same charges and has been remanded to appear on the same day.

Two men aged 19 and 21 were arrested and are still on bail while enquiries continue.

A fifth person, a 17-year-old male from Southampton, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has been bailed while enquiries continue.
