SOUTHAMPTON residents are heading to the polls today to elect a new councillor to the city council.
Votes will be cast today as a new councillor is elected to the Bitterne Ward.
It comes after Bitterne councillor and Conservative, Terry Streets, sadly passed away in August of this year.
The council has 48 members with the city being divided into 16 wards with three councillors for each.
