AS Hampshire prepares for potential snowfall, the Daily Echo takes a glimpse back to the invasion of the Beast from the East in 2018.
Roads were eerily empty, schools were closed, and people stayed at home - unless they were lovingly sculpting snowmen in the back garden.

People were advised to check on their elderly or vulnerable neighbours and train services were cancelled.
Daily Echo photographers captured the mayhem in February and March that year while readers sent in their pictures of fun and misery in the white stuff. All of these can be seen in the gallery above.
