FOUR people have been injured in a crash with one being taken to hospital in a serious condition. 

Emergency services were called at around 2.15pm on Thursday after the two-car crash on Stokes Bay Road, Gosport

Air ambulance, police and fire crews attended with one person having to be released from a vehicle by firefighters.

Four people were injured with one sustaining serious injuries. 

They were seen by medics on the scene before being rushed to QA Hospital in Portsmouth for further treatment.

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance told the Echo: "The Air Ambulance was dispatched to a Road Traffic Collision at 2.36pm on 08/12/22.  

"The Critical Care Team of a doctor and paramedic provided medical treatment to one patient before they were conveyed by road to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.  

"The Air Ambulance Critical Care Team travelled with the patient to continue providing treatment."

Two fire engines also attended and motorists were told to stay away from the area. 

The incident is now being investigated by police.
