HUNDREDS of people donned their running shoes to take part in the inaugural Southampton 10k event today.
Enthusiastic runners gathered at St Mary’s stadium this morning to take part in Run Through’s first 10k event in the city.
The stadium grounds were packed with over 900 participants in professional and festive attire, with many supporters on the sidelines.
Lord Mayor Jacqui Rayment was in attendance to start the race at 9am.
Runners followed a route around the city centre, by Ocean Village, along Northam Bridge and back through the centre again, before the race ended at St Mary’s.
